Dreamclouds 8 Layers of Comfort
Dreamcloud certainly sets the mark when it comes to mattress layers, and overall thickness.
The Dreamcloud has 8 layers and is 15 inches thick. Most mattresses fall around the 10″-11″ range.
We break down each layer, and give you some detail on the purpose of each.
1. Truetufted™ Cashmere Polyester Blend Cover
This is the top layer of the Dreamcloud mattress. Like the title state, this cover is woven with a cashmere polyester blend of fabric.
The purpose of this layer is to provide lasting softness, and allows for breathability.
2. Gel Infused Memory Foam
The 2nd layer of Dreamcloud is made up of Gel Infused Memory Foam.
This layer really conforms to the contour of your body. The purpose is to offer support, all while keeping you cool while you sleep.
3. Super Soft Quilted Memory Foam
This is another layer of memory foam, but with a unique twist.
The memory foam is quilted, which is what gives you the feel of “sleeping on a cloud”.
This layer is responsible for a lot of Dreamclouds overall comfort.
4. Supreme Natural Latex
Dreamcloud not only offers memory foam layers, they also have a layer of natural latex.
This layer provides you with a “cushiony” bounce, and assists the Dreamcloud in the contouring of your body.
5. Dreamplush Supporting Memory Foam
This layer of Dreamcloud mattress is made up of high density memory foam.
The job of this layer is to add additional contouring qualities to the mattress, as well as support while you sleep.
6. Super Dense Super Soft Memory Foam
The 6th layers job is to cradle your body as you sleep.
Because of the way this memory foam is constructed, you should feel supported (cradled) regardless of your sleep position.
7. Patent Pending “Bestrest” Coils
This layer is only found in Dreamcloud mattress.
It is a micro compression coil system, encased in five zoned foam.
The coil system is designed to provide full body support from head to toe, while you sleep.
8. High Density Super Soft Memory Foam
The 8th and final layer of Dreamcloud mattress is another layer of memory foam.
It is made up of high density foam, and designed to provide support throughout your night.
This layer is also responsible for reducing motion transfer while you sleep. So, you get a great night’s rest, without being disturbed.
CertiPur-US® Certified Flexible Foams
Dreamclouds foams are CertiPur-US® certified.
This ensures that your foams are safe and of high quality.
Only 1% of mattresses on the market receive this certification.
So, you can rest comfortably knowing Dreamcloud is one of them.
Dreamclouds Motion Transfer
Motion transfer is a big deal, if you sleep with a partner.
Studies have shown that Dreamcloud has minimal motion transfer. A big reason for this, is the “Bestrest” coil system.
The coils are individually wrapped, so they act alone. Which means if your partner moves around a lot, his coils are not affecting the coils you are sleeping on.
Your sleep should benefit greatly from this.
Dreamcloud and Edge Support
It is not uncommon for memory foam mattresses to not have the best edge support. Especially when compared to innerspring models of mattresses.
However, Dreamcloud held up pretty well compared to other memory foam models.
There is a little compression on the memory foam layers towards the edges. But all in all, Dreamcloud supports almost as well on the edge of the bed, as it does in the center.
Bodyweight and Sleep Positions
Dreamcloud performance does vary some, depending on your bodyweight, and the position you sleep in.
Here we will take a look at where Dreamcloud excels, and where it is just “ok”.
Back Sleeper: Dreamcloud is hands down the best for back sleepers. It doesn’t matter if you find that you are lightweight, average or even a heavier person.
If you sleep on your back, Dreamcloud scores almost perfect for you.
Stomach Sleeper: Though not as good as for a back sleeper. Dreamcloud does a good job if you find you sleep on your stomach a lot.
It is not the best for heavier people when it comes to this sleep position. But, for lighter or average people, the Dreamcloud would be a nice fit.
Side Sleeper: The complete opposite as stomach sleepers.
Dreamcloud holds up well for average or heavier people, who prefer to sleep on their sides. However, for lightweight side sleepers, Dreamcloud doesn’t perform quite as well.
Dreamcloud offers what they call an “Everlong” warranty. Their words for lifetime warranty – similar to their sister brand, Nectar mattress.
This warranty exceeds most mattress brands, as the standard is around 10 years.
There are stipulations for this warranty like any brand, which we will look at.
For the first 10 years of ownership, Dreamcloud will replace your mattress at no cost, if there is a defect in the materials or craftmanship.
After the 10 year mark, Dreamcloud will replace or re-cover your mattress for you. In which the shipping costs will be waived, if a defect in materials or craftsmanship is found.
Please note that the warranty is only valid for the original purchaser. It can not be transferred.
Also, your mattress must be on an appropriate base, such as a platform bed, or other type of bed frame.
The warranty does not cover the following
- Liquid damage
- Any forms of abuse or neglect
In the event of sagging, anything less than 1.5″ is expected with most mattresses. This does not affect the support and stability of the mattress, so it is not covered.
Anything over 1.5″ of sag, and Dreamcloud will cover it under their Everlong warranty.
With most companies, you can expect a sleep trial of around 100-120 nights. Dreamcloud gives you 365 nights.
If for any reason you are not 100% satisfied, you can return your Dreamcloud for a full refund.
For a mattress to be so confident in their brand, that they give you a year to try it out, really speaks volumes for how they feel about their product.
It is advised to try out any mattress for at least 50 nights, before making an informed decision. This is because your body takes time to adapt to a new mattress.
Financing and Shipping
Dreamcloud offers free shipping to your door via Fedex anywhere in the
contiguous United States.
They also ship to Alaska and Hawaii, however customers are required to pay a delivery free for them 2 states.
Dreamcloud also offers up to 0% financing through Affirm, allowing you up to 24 months to pay for your mattress.
White Glove Service
For an additional $149, Dreamcloud offers their White Glove Service.
A delivery date is scheduled. Then, your mattress is delivered and set up for you.
You then have the option to have your old mattress removed and disposed of, if you do not plan to keep it.
If you are in the market for a luxury mattress, at an affordable price – then you can not go wrong with Dreamcloud, and it’s very reasonable cost.
Being constructed of both memory foam and latex, with individually wrapped coils, you are certain to get some of the best sleep of your life.
